Every trail begins
with a single step.
Ours started with a shared love for stories and a desire to slow down.

Born from a love
of the analog.
Paper Trail was born from a simple realization: in an increasingly digital and fast-paced world, there is a profound need for the analog. We wanted to create a space that celebrates the weight of a physical book, the smell of fresh ink, and the excitement of a curated surprise.
For us, the “Paper Trail” is more than just a business—it's a community we are building for readers who crave a more thoughtful, intentional way to discover their next great story.
The minds behind
the trail.
Carrie
The Chief Reader
By day, Carrie is a Vice President and Real Estate Attorney for a national affordable senior housing organization. By night (and early morning, and weekend...), she is a voracious reader, consistently finishing 50+ books a year. Her career is built on the foundation of providing homes for others; with Paper Trail, she is building a home for stories. Her eye for detail and passion for literature ensure that every book we pick is worth the journey.
Eric
The Architect
Eric brings a different kind of discipline to the trail. A long-time IT Security professional, he spent his career navigating the complexities of the digital world. Paper Trail is his way of stepping back into the tangible. Eric focuses on the gear and the infrastructure of our community, ensuring that while our hearts are analog, your experience with us is seamless and secure.
“A More Thoughtful Community”
We are not just selling boxes; we are inviting you to a conversation. We believe that reading is a communal act — one that should spark creativity, fuel craft, and connect us across different paths. Whether you are a 'Purist' reader or a 'Collector' of literary treasures, we are honored to be part of your reading ritual.
Thank you for being part of the story. — Eric & Carrie
